DECEMBER 2017 at the SALON

Karamoja
presented by Will Zavala

Fresh from teaching a filmmaking workshop in Uganda, Will presents short documentaries produced by himself and the young generation of Karamajong, people whose ancient ways have been gawked at, marketed, and may soon be extinguished.  On the program are films about early teen pregnancy, bedwetting (it's a universal thing), and why so many Karamojong are missing their two lower front teeth.  Plus Will’s collection of Ugandan jokes.

This project was supported by Native Travel Festival, Stichting Doen, and Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
