a special meeting
This month is set aside for filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers: experienced, beginning, or just curious. It's a self-help meeting for anyone trying to get a documentary planned, funded, started, or finished. There will no sit-down screening; instead we'll have a general session, and then break up to mingle, pitch ideas, share successes and failures, offer services, find crew, make barters, show samples, offer technical advice and words of encouragement. By the time we call it a night, everyone in attendance will be a little closer to getting their film made and in front of an audience (perhaps at a future Doc Salon).
There will be a few laptops set up for screening work, or you can bring your own.
