The staff at the Carnegie Library's Music, Film & Audio Department make their third visit to the Salon with another music documentary from from the Library's vast collection.  This year it's Another State of Mind, by Adam Small and Peter Stuart.  The film chronicles the 1982 tour by two punk bands, Social Distortion and Youth Brigade.  It also give viewers a glimpse into the complex social dynamics of the DIY punk scene, and the challenges of hitting the road.  The band Minor Threat, and original "Straight Edge" frontman Ian Mackaye are also prominently featured.


Tim Williams is a music librarian at the "Carnegie Main".  He will have a few theme-related items (DVDs, CDs and books) available for checkout with a Carnegie Library card.  Don't have a card?  Ask Tim how to get one after the screening!
