Collections in Black
This month we join The Lindsay Theater's Emerging Filmmaker's Showcase for a screening of Collections in Black, the film that highlights the rarely-explored world of Black comic book artists and enthusiasts, with a focus on Pittsburgh, "the Mecca of Black comic book creators."
Filmmaker Phillip Thompson is a Penn Hills native and accomplished DJ, music producer, documentarian and art curator. He'll be in attendance for a Q&A and will bring some physical examples of Black excellence in the genre.
