IN HICKMAN COUNTY
In Hickman County represents fifteen years of documentary work in Hickman County, Tennessee. The filmmakers, Joe and Elizabeth Seamans, live in Pittsburgh, but have a deep connection to rural Tennessee — Elizabeth’s mother was born in Hickman County and her family has lived and farmed there since 1824.
As cultural divisions in this country became deeper and more bitter, they went South to experience the "other side" and to document what they saw. This is the culmination of that effort.
Joe and Elizabeth, each with extensive filmmaking résumés, will present the film at the enchanting screening space FRBS, in Uptown.
